Alabama Solar Eclipse – April 8, 2024

Alabama will see a partial eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. The Moon will cover most of the Sun (93%) in the northwestern portion of the state, with the least amount near Dothan. The next total eclipse of the Sun for Alabama will be in the year 2200, but unfortunately, that won’t be anytime soon – for at least another 176 years!

Huntsville will be the only major city to see a total eclipse of the Sun in Alabama in 2200. See the map below!
