Indiana will see a total eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. Totality will be in the state’s southern half, which will include the cities of Vincennes, Bloomington, and New Castle, to name a few. Vincennes will have the maximum length of darkness, lasting 4 minutes and 5 seconds.

The next total eclipse of the Sun for Indiana will be on September 14, 2099, in the state’s upper-right corner. (See map below.)
