New Mexico will only see a partial eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. The most coverage of the disk of the Sun by the Moon will be in the southeastern corner of the state at around 89%. The lowest amount will be in the state’s northwestern part at 71%.

The next total eclipse of the Sun for New Mexico will be on June 25, 2169, in the state’s upper-right corner. (See map below.)
