Total Eclipse of the Sun for Arkansas On April 8, 2024

Just eyeballing Arkansas state, it looks like about half the state will get to see a total eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024! Looking at DeQueen and Mount Ida, those two towns will get to experience over four minutes of darkness! That is nearly twice as long as the total eclipse back in 2017!

As you can see below, the next two total eclipses of the Sun will cross paths over Arkansas. After the 2024 eclipse, the USA will not see another total eclipse again for 21 years until 2045. No cosmic significance in that except for it to be interesting!
