California will only see a partial eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. The most coverage of the disk of the Sun by the Moon will be in the southern edge of the state at around 65%. On the northwest corner, the least amount will be at Crescent City at 36%.
The next total eclipse of the Sun for California will be on August 12, 2045.
