Iowa will only see a partial eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. The most coverage of the disk of the Sun by the Moon will be in the southeastern corner of the state at around 92%. The lowest amount will be in the state’s northwestern part at 78%.

The next total eclipse of the Sun for Iowa will be on October 17, 2153, in the state’s upper-right corner. (See map below.)
