Louisiana will only see a partial eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. The most coverage of the disk of the Sun by the Moon will be in the northwestern corner of the state at around 98%. The lowest amount will be in the state’s southeastern part at 82%.

The next total eclipse of the Sun for Louisiana will be on August 12, 2045, in the state’s upper-right corner. (See map below.)
