Massachusetts will only see a partial eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. The most coverage of the disk of the Sun by the Moon will be in the northwestern corner of the state at around 96%. The lowest amount will be in the state’s southeastern part at 89%.

The next total eclipse of the Sun for Massachusetts will be on May 1, 2079, for the entire state. (See map below.)
