North Carolina will only see a partial eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. The most coverage of the disk of the Sun by the Moon will be in the western portion of the state at around 88%. The lowest amount will be in the state’s southeastern corner at 76%.

The next total eclipse of the Sun for North Carolina will be May 11, 2078. (See map below.)
