Pennsylvania will see a total eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. Totality will be in the state’s northwestern corner, which will include the cities of Erie, Warren, and Meadville. Erie will have the maximum length of darkness, lasting 3 minutes and 42 seconds.

The next total eclipse of the Sun for Pennsylvania will be on May 1, 2079, in the state’s upper-right corner. (See map below.)
