Rhode Island will only see a partial eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. The most coverage of the disk of the Sun by the Moon will be in the northern part of the state at around 92.5%. The lowest amount will be in the state’s southeastern part at 90.8%.

The next total eclipse of the Sun for Rhode Island will be on May 1, 2079, for the entire state. (See map below.)
