South Carolina will only see a partial eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. The most coverage of the disk of the Sun by the Moon will be in the northwestern corner of the state at around 85%. The lowest amount will be in the state’s southeastern part at 75%.

The next total eclipse of the Sun for South Carolina will be on March 30, 2052, in the state’s lower tip. (See map below.)
