West Virginia will only see a partial eclipse of the Sun on April 8, 2024. The most coverage of the disk of the Sun by the Moon will be north in Weirton at around 98%. The lowest amount will be in the state’s southern part at around 90% in Bluefield.

The next total eclipse of the Sun for West Virginia will be on September 14, 2099. (See map below.)
